ОРИЕНТАЛИСТСКИЕ НАРРАТИВЫ В АМЕРИКАНСКОЙ НАУЧНОЙ ФАНТАСТИКЕ В РОМАНАХ ЦИКЛА «ДЮНА»

Аннотация

Автор анализирует тексты цикла «Дюна» в контекстах постколониального подхода как метода, позволяющего конструировать и деконструировать «ориентальные» нарративы.

Цель. Целью статьи является «ориенталистская» реинтерпретация текстов цикла «Дюна».

Методы. Автор использует методологический инструментарий, предложенный интеллектуальной историей и исследованиями национализма, включая концепцию изобретения традиций, которая позволяет анализировать ориентальные образы как одну из изобретенных традиций американской научной фантастики на примере текстов цикла «Дюна». Ориентализм как метод в данной статье используется для анализа текстов Фрэнка Херберта, Брайана Херберта и Кевина Андерсона, вдохновленных восточными стимулами и актуализирующих многочисленные образы, которые традиционно определяется как арабские. Автор полагает, что ориенталистский подход может статью эффективной исследовательской оптикой и интерпретационной моделью для междисциплинарного анализа американской научной фантастики.

Результаты. Проанализированы внешние социальные и политические стимулы, которые сыграли определяющие роли в генезисе и возникновении ориенталистских мотивов в американской массовой литературе второй половине 1960-х гг. Изучены ориентальные прототипы и праобразы героев цикла «Дюна». Проанализированы основные проявления и формы внешней ориентализации текста, представленные многочисленными лингвистические ориентализмами арабского происхождения. Особое внимание уделено внутренней ориентализации текста – социальным, политическим и религиозным попыткам интерпретации джихада в американской массовой культуре. Тексты цикла «Дюна» реинтерпретированы в рамках ориенталистской парадигмы как возможной модели объяснения и интерпретации американской массовой культуры.
