ЯЗЫКОВОЙ ПУРИЗМ КАК ФОРМА ЭТНИЧЕСКОГО АНГЛИЙСКОГО НАЦИОНАЛИЗМА
Аннотация
В настоящей статье исследуются основные тенденции в развитии лингвистического пуризма в Англии.
Целью статьи является анализ английского пуризма как тактики и практики английских националистически ориентированных интеллектуалов в тех стратегиях, которые они использовали для продвижения английской идентичности.
Методы. Методологически статья является междисциплинарной. Автор использует методологический инструментарий, предложенный интеллектуальной историей и исследованиями национализма, включая концепцию изобретения традиций, которая позволяет анализировать пуризм как одну из изобретенных традиций английского национализма.
Результаты. Анализируются различные тактики и стратегии пуристов. Показаны связи и взаимозависимости между пуризмом и английским национализмом. Пуризм определяется как форма культурного английского национализма. Слабость пуризма в английском национализме объясняется ранней институционализацией политической нации, что ослабило роль этнических тенденций. Анализируются особенности культурных и символических коммуникаций между пуристами и националистами. Автор полагает, что пуризм как форма английского национализма относится к числу маргинальных трендов. Предполагается, что роль пуризма в английском национализме несравнима со значением аналогичных явлений в других европейских национализмах.
